This Subscription & Billing Policy explains the billing practices, subscription terms, and payment policies for LinkEdu.AI. By subscribing to a paid plan or making a purchase on the Platform, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Overview
LinkEdu.AI offers free access for students and paid subscription plans for universities and recruitment agencies. Paid plans are offered at multiple tiers with varying features, capacities, and pricing.
2. Free Student Access
Student accounts are free to create and use. Students have access to core Platform features, including university search, AI Advisor (with fair-use limits), admission chances analysis, visa guidance, peer connections, messaging, and document management. No payment information is required to create a student account.
3. Paid Plans for Universities and Agencies
Universities and agencies may subscribe to one of four plan tiers:
- Starter: Basic tools and limited capacity for smaller teams
- Growth: Expanded features including analytics, priority support, and scheduled messages
- Professional: Advanced features including campaigns, bulk messaging, and full analytics
- Enterprise: Unlimited access, white-label branding, API access, and dedicated support

4. Monthly and Annual Billing
Paid plans are available with monthly or annual billing cycles. Annual plans offer a discount (approximately 17%) compared to the equivalent monthly cost. The billing cycle you select at the time of subscription determines your recurring charge schedule.
5. Free Trials
We may offer a 14-day free trial for select plan tiers. During the trial period, you have full access to the features included in the selected plan. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable rate unless you cancel before the trial ends.
6. Auto-Renewal
All paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the applicable subscription fee at the beginning of each renewal period. We will send a reminder before renewal where required by law.
7. Geographic Pricing Bands
Subscription pricing is adjusted based on your organization's billing country to reflect local purchasing power. We use four pricing bands:
- Band A: Full pricing (e.g., United States, Canada, United Kingdom, EU, Australia, Switzerland)
- Band B: Approximately 80% of Band A (e.g., Spain, China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore)
- Band C: Approximately 60% of Band A (e.g., India, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey)
- Band D: Approximately 40% of Band A (e.g., Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Bangladesh)
Band assignments are based on the country associated with your organization's profile and are determined automatically. Users do not see band labels; pricing is displayed as adjusted amounts.
8. Billing Country Rule
Your subscription price is determined by the country listed on your organization's profile at the time of subscription. If your billing country changes, the new pricing band will apply at your next billing cycle. Pricing adjustments are applied automatically and are final.
9. Upgrades
You may upgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. When you upgrade, the new plan takes effect immediately. You will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing cycle, and subsequent renewals will reflect the new plan price.
10. Downgrades
You may downgrade your plan from your account settings. When you initiate a downgrade, you will be shown a summary of features you will lose. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and you will retain access to your current plan's features until then.
11. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to your paid features until the subscription expires. After cancellation, your account will revert to a free-tier experience (if available) or become inactive.
12. Refunds
We generally do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, unused time, or subscription fees already charged. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us at legal@linkedu.ai within 30 days of the charge. Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Refunds required by applicable law will be provided in accordance with that law.
13. Add-Ons
We may offer optional add-on features for purchase in addition to your base subscription. Add-on purchases are one-time charges or recurring charges as specified at the time of purchase. Add-ons are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
14. Taxes
All prices listed on the Platform are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any sales tax, VAT, or other taxes imposed by your jurisdiction. Applicable taxes will be calculated and added at the time of checkout.
15. Payment Providers
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers.
16. Failed Payments
If a scheduled payment fails (for example, due to an expired card or insufficient funds), we will attempt to process the payment again. If payment continues to fail, we may suspend or downgrade your account until payment is resolved. You are responsible for keeping your payment information up to date.
17. Plan Changes
We reserve the right to modify plan pricing, features, or tier structures. For existing subscribers, material changes will take effect at the next billing cycle following notice. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increases affecting your current subscription.
